
The Christmas season began in earnest with Chesapeake Academy’s holiday program.
The Osprey Dome was sparkling as eighth grader Charley Manetz set the mood with a holiday prelude on the piano, swinging the program into gear.
After a welcome by program director Robin Blake, the eighth grade tone chime choir deepened the groove with a well-timed rendition of “Silent Night.” After two deep breaths of nostalgia, the wee folk—pre-kindergarten and kindergarten— ratcheted the roll back up to rollicking with “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” serving up some serious cute factor!
Second and fifth grades kept the tempo with “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” which led right into sixth grade’s short theater piece “Santa on Strike!”
