HEATHSVILLE—Northumberland supervisors called a special meeting last week to discuss just how the county and schools will move forward with corrective action plans as a result of the recently completed forensic audit. However, the Wednesday, March 5, meeting was full of many questions and few answers.
Following the January 23 forensic audit presentation by UHY Advisors MidAtlantic, the board unanimously voted to direct county administrator Luttrell Tadlock and school superintendent Dr. Holly Wargo to develop a corrective action plan with steps, responsible parties and completion dates. That plan was presented at the February 13 board of supervisors meeting without comment, other than supervisors pointing out the school’s portion of the plan was submitted the day prior.
