
Try not to think of the words to “Mamma Mia,” “Dancing Queen,” “Take a Chance” or any of the other hits of the Swedish band ABBA. Difficult, right? It will be impossible October 19 when the New York City-based Dancing Dream: The Tribute to ABBA, performs at the Lancaster Elementary School Theater, 191 School Street, Kilmarnock.
The season-opening show, hosted by the Rappahannock Foundation for the Arts (RFA), will start at 7:30 p.m. Theater doors open at 7.
The six-member Dancing Dream band, fronted by lead singers Agnes Jawien and Halina Ulatowski, will highlight the harmonies, costumes and choreography that made ABBA a global pop phenomenon in the 1970s and a lasting presence ever since in film and theater as well as the music scene….
