Six wineries will be pouring at the Tavern Wine Fest at the Heathsville Farmers Market at Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern, 73 Monument Place, Heathsville on Saturday, April 19. The market will be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.; the wine festival from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
At the market, nearly 80 vendors will sell produce, meats, flowers, plants, peanuts, baked goods, honey, eggs and handcrafts, reported director Corinne Becker. The market also will host an Earth Day celebration, sponsored by the Northumberland Association for Progressive Stewardship.
Tickets for the wine festival will cost $15 at the gate, which includes an etched wine glass for tastings. Wineries will include….
