A rushed offense and too many turnovers found the Red Devils deep in a first-quarter hole they couldn’t dig out of last Friday as Northumberland defeated Lancaster, 75-49, in a Northern Neck District boys varsity basketball game.
LHS is now 7-6 overall. The loss was Lancaster’s first in the district where the Devils are 3-1. They begin their second run through the league tomorrow at Rappahannock. Two weeks remain in regular season play.
Tyreek Lundy of Northumberland proved too much for the Devils to handle, scoring a game-high 26 points to lead three double digit scorers for the Indians. Lundy scored….
