Irvington planners forward short-term rental application; seek more information on proposed renovation project

IRVINGTON—The Irvington Planning Commission on Tuesday, October 7, recommended a short-term rental (STR) for town council approval.

Steve Strait moved to recommend to council the approval of Catherine Bruse’s conditional use permit (CUP) application to operate an STR at 122 Edgewood Lane.

Jeremy Taylor seconded the motion. Tom Chapman, Ruth Fuller, Marston Smith, Vivian Ralls, Taylor and Strait voted in favor and the motion passed, 6-0. David Clarke was absent.

A CUP application submitted by Kristy Cotter was tabled.

Cotter applied for a CUP to renovate the upstairs portion of her retail space at 19 King Carter Drive into an apartment.
