LANCASTER—The Lancaster County Circuit Court convened Friday, May 9, with the Hon. David B. Caddell, Jr. presiding.

Sean M. Williams of Richmond appealed a General District Court bond decision and bond was again denied.

Thomas R. Tilley of Hayes pleaded guilty to a felony for possession of a Schedule I/II substance. He was sentenced to five years, four of which were suspended, with five years probation to begin upon release. Tilley also pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor for driving while intoxicated, second offense, and given a 365-day sentence with 345 days suspended and 12 months of probation to begin upon release.

In the case of Joseph Cox Jr. of Lancaster, charged with 13 felonies for violating probation, a show cause hearing was continued by the defense and a status hearing scheduled for July 25.

In the case of Jonaisa M. Ball of Kilmarnock, appealing a General District Court misdemeanor conviction for violating community-based probation services, a hearing is to be set May 16.
