WEEMS—The Lancaster school board on Monday, March 10, unanimously recommended a $20,969,588 budget, a 2.61% increase over the current budget, with no change in local funding of $14,236,492.
As proposed, the budget provides a 3% raise for all staff, excluding directors and administrators, and a 1.5% raise for teachers with a 1.5% step. This change from a previous budget that included a 5% raise, reflects the board of supervisors’ direction to keep local funding level, according to superintendent Jessica Davis.
