KILMARNOCK—Leona Harris Edwards, 76, of Kilmarnock passed away at her home on January 25, 2025.
She was born on October 9, 1948. She was predeceased by her parents, John Milton Harris and Katherine Stevens Harris Schneider; and her husband, George Vester Edwards.
She is survived by her daughter, Tanya Barner (Oliver) of Midlothian; son, George Duane Edwards of Chester; four grandchildren, Nathan, Delani, Jacob and Cole; and two great-grandchildren, Natalie and Waylon.
She is also survived by four sisters, Irma Ryman of Remlik, Bonnie Estep (Dean) of Heathsville, Laverne Pierce (James) and Eunice Harris of Kilmarnock.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, at Currie Funeral Home in Kilmarnock. The family received friends an hour prior to the service.
