Lancaster produced two individual champions, two runners-up and three fourth-place medalists to finish as the team runner-up at the Super Region A/B wrestling championships February 8 in Mathews. The Red Devils will take seven to compete in the Class 1 championships February 21-22 in Salem and have four alternates.
The top four finishers in each weight class in the region tournament advance to the state meet. Fifth-place finishers are alternates.
Mathews won the team championship on its home mats with 198 points. Lancaster was second with 173.5 points as the best finisher among Northern Neck District teams in….
