Northern Neck History Channel documents a Main Street conversation

KILMARNOCK—The Northern Neck has a long and rich history and now it has a YouTube channel dedicated to it. The Northern Neck History Channel launched on YouTube at the end of April, curated by 26th Street Media.

“We started with nine videos of varying length, including ‘A Fish Story,’ the documentary that premiered at Compass a year ago,” said Mark Huffman, president of 26th Street Media. “Viewers can also watch “Kilmarnock, Virginia – Living History,” a video we produced in 2009 in a joint venture with the Kilmarnock Museum.”

The videos posted so far go back as far as 2007. Huffman said the latest video is an unscripted conversation between Kilmarnock natives Carroll Lee Ashburn and Steve Bonner as they walked along Main Street, remembering the stores and businesses that….
