CLARAVILLE—A third party investigation into personnel has been authorized by the Northumberland County School Board following a closed session Thursday, March 27, to discuss personnel matters.

Upon entering into open session, school board member Dana O’Bier moved to hire an outside investigator for personnel matters discussed in closed session to include fact finding, to assist with provisional legal advice in anticipation of litigation.

Denise Mazyck seconded the motion and it passed, 5-0, with Betty Christopher, Cheryl Davis, Dave Curran, O’Bier and Mazyck all voting in favor.

The board also unanimously appointed assistant superintendent Karen Leslie as the Freedom of Information Act officer.

The board will meet next at 6 p.m. Monday, April 14, at Northumberland High School, 201 Academic Lane, Claraville.
