The Northumberland Public Library (NPL), 7204 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville, recently announced its January events.
NPL will host a Comedy Night featuring comedian Chris Ruppe from 5-7 p.m. January 24. The event will feature an open mic and improv for all ages, said director Jane Blue. Food and drink will be provided.
Ruppe was a recent finalist at the National Clean Comedy Challenge in Nashville, Tenn., as well as a finalist in Laugh USA and the Comedy Battle in Charlotte, N.C. He has worked on the Huckabee Show and was part of the NBC National Comedy Competition in 2018.
