Kilmarnock United Methodist Church (KUMC), 89 East Church Street, Kilmarnock, will host a free piano concert at 7 p.m. August 30, featuring Denise Cromer. She also will participate in a hymn sing and piano dedication during the 11 a.m. worship service on August 31.
A North Carolina native, Cromer studied music education at Gardner-Webb University, after beginning her journey as a church musician at the age of 15 in western N.C.
Following 25 years as organist at Kings Grant Baptist Church in Virginia Beach and four years as organist/choir director at KUMC, she is enjoying the opportunity to serve as the organist/pianist of First Presbyterian Church in Myrtle Beach, S.C., as well as the music teacher at….
