Lancaster High increased its winning streak to eight on Monday with an 88-36 victory over Mathews.
The Red Devils also got by Northampton, 65-55, at home last week to remain unbeaten heading into a hectic stretch. Lancaster has four games scheduled in six days with a game against Altavista at the Cumberland High Invitational Saturday, January 14, to cap the week.
Tomorrow, January 13, Lancaster will travel to Colonial Beach for its second Northern Neck District game of the week. LHS was scheduled to open district play Tuesday, January 10, at home against Westmoreland, the team that tripped up the Red Devils in the Class 1 state tournament semifinals last year.
