Queen Emma Clay Dameron to reign over the Holly Ball

Queen Emma Clay Dameron

Queen Emma Clay Dameron, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Chadwick Dameron of Reedville, will preside over the seasonal festivities celebrating the 128th Holly Ball on December 28.

The Holly Ball originated in 1895 and began operating as the fundraising arm of the Tidewater Foundation in the 1950s. The foundation anticipates the proceeds of the 2024 ball will have a far-reaching impact on the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula communities, as it disperses funds to a diverse group of recipients, reported publicity chairman Patricia Gallagher.

Lancaster County debutantes from left are Allison Ann Foulkes, Lilly Grace Colleen Penrod, Oceana Amy Diaz and Cameron Campbell Hope. They are among the 19 young ladies who will be presented at the 128th Holly Ball.

As reigning queen, Miss Dameron will act as the official hostess of the gala fundraiser. The celebratory events leading up to the Holly Ball are steeped in tradition and preserve….
