With the loss of three starters from last year’s state championship team—two to graduation and one to relocation—Red Devils basketball fans were left wondering what the 2024-25 season would look like.
Well, it looked a lot like it has ever since Dwayne Pinn took the helm as varsity head coach four years ago.
Lancaster capped a 17-8 season on March 7 as a Class 1 state semifinalist.
Franklin ended Lancaster’s run for a third straight state title on Friday when the Broncos beat the Devils, 41-34, in Lancaster’s lowest scoring game of the season.
After winning the Region 1A championship, the Devils earned a home berth in the Class 1 tournament, beating Altavista, 77-45, in a quarterfinal Tuesday, March 4.
Despite losing four starters from his 2023 championship team, Pinn rebuilt to claim back-to-back Class 1 state titles in 2024. This year was no different. Pinn again built on the talent….
