Ricky D. Landman

Ricky D. Landman

CALLAO—Ricky David Landman, 71, of Callao passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family after a long struggle with heart disease. Ricky was born in Claraville to the late Lindburgh Jackson Landman and the late Marian Amelia West Landman.

For almost 50 years he was the cherished husband of Dianne Joy Wilkins Landman. Ricky was retired from a long career as an HVAC professional. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

He had a lifelong love of books and especially enjoyed sharing that passion with his children and grandchildren, passing on his curiosity and joy for stories to the next generations. A devoted Spider-Man fan, Ricky never missed a movie release and delighted in sharing his enthusiasm for the web-slinging hero with family and friends. Beyond his quick mind, he was gifted with skillful hands, building a respected career as an HVAC professional whose craftsmanship and dedication helped countless people. More than his talents, though, it was his warmth, humor, and genuine spirit that left a lasting mark on everyone who knew Ricky.

Ricky is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Dianne; his son, Nick Landman (Heather); his daughter, Katie O’Bier (Patrick); his precious grandchildren, Brie, Ali, Carley Shane, Michael and Matthew; his mother-in-law, “Grandma” Nell Wilkins; his brother-in-law, Garnett Hodges; his sisters-in-law, Virginia Crowther (Mike) and Martha Wilkins; his loving dog, Sassy; and many nieces and nephews.

Welcoming Ricky into eternal glory are his parents, Lindbergh and Marian; his brother, Dale Landman; brother-in-law, Randy Wilkins; and his sister, Terry Hodges.

A funeral service for Ricky was held at 1 p.m. on Monday, October 6, at the Welch Chapel in Warsaw with the Reverend Kori Kiss officiating. The family received friends at the chapel from noon-1 p.m. on Monday. Following his funeral Ricky was laid to rest in Bethany Baptist Cemetery in Callao.

Serving as pallbearers were James Allison, Trey Allison, James Smith, Jason Brann, Paul Jones, Mike Martin, Keith Harris and Byron Russ. Honorary pallbearers were Rodney Bray, Mike Bray and Mike Straughan.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Ricky’s loving memory to the National Alliance on Mental Illness at www.NAMI.org or by mail to: NAMI, P.O. Box 49104, Baltimore, MD 21297.
