Sheriff’s reports 01-08-25

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against one individual.

Lauren Elizabeth Bradley, 28, of Luray was charged January 4 with felony grand larceny of a motor vehicle, as well as misdemeanor charges of driving after forfeiture of driver’s license and destruction of property.

Activity Report

December 30: Staff responded to the 10 block of Suwannee Beach Drive for legal advice, to the 2000 block of Morattico Road for a verbal dispute, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for legal advice, to Goodluck Road for a reckless driver, to the 2000 block of Weems Road for trespassing, and to the 2000 block of Irvington Road for a two-vehicle traffic crash.

December 31: Staff responded to the 800 block of Senora Road for a verbal dispute, to the 2000 block of Mary Ball Road for destruction of property, to the 100 block of Queenstown Road for illegal dumping, and to the 70 block of Daniel Drive for an adult welfare check.

January 1: Staff responded to the 800 block of Senora Road for the report of legal advice.

January 2: Staff responded to the 3000 block of White Chapel Road for trespassing, to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for the report of a reckless driver, and to Mosquito Point and Little Bay roads for a larceny.

January 3: Staff responded to the 300 block of White Hall Road for suspicious activity, to the 100 block of Gunther Lane for an adult welfare check, to the 800 block of Belmont Creek Road for suspicious activity, to the 100 block of Sandlin Drive for a noise complaint, and to Mary Ball and Fleets Bay roads for the report of a noise complaint.

January 4: Staff responded to the 1400 block of Davis Mill Road for the report of a motor vehicle theft, to the 100 block of Pinckardsville Road for harassment, to the 1000 block of Iberis Road for legal advice, to the Norris Bridge for debris in the highway, to the 100 block of Turner Lane for an assault, to the 13000 block of Mary Ball Road for suspicious activity, and to Lumberlost and Taylors Creek roads for a disabled vehicle.

January 5: Staff responded to Mary Ball and Devils Bottom roads for a suspicious vehicle, to the 9000 block of Mary Ball Road for destruction of property, to the 300 block of James Wharf Road for an adult welfare check, and to the 90 block of River Bluff Road for an adult welfare check.

Staff also conducted 35 traffic stops, issued 43 summonses, assisted three motorists, recorded three deer strike accidents, handled two requests for traffic control, investigated six building alarms, processed two mental health orders, received four E911 hang up calls, and fielded three calls for animal control service.

Fire calls

White Stone Volunteer Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire at 18746 Mary Ball Road and a fire alarm at 80 Whisk Drive.

Upper Lancaster VFD responded to a structure fire at 560 Hutchings Lane and a brush fire at 1080 Crawfords Corner Road.

Last week

For the week ending December 29, Sheriff McCranie reported misdemeanor charges against two individuals.

A Lancaster woman, 40, was charged December 23 with failure to appear in court for trial on December 10.

A Heathsville man, 62, was charged December 25 with driving or operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, and refusal to submit breath or blood for a chemical test.

December 25: Staff responded to Irvington Road and Yorkshire Street for a disabled vehicle, to the 70 block of Pleasant Banks Lane for threats, to the 600 block of Beach Road for a suspicious person, to the 800 block of Fleets Bay Road for legal advice, to the 400 block of Buzzards Neck Road for a domestic disturbance, and to the 11000 block of Courthouse Road for a verbal dispute.

December 26: Staff responded to James B. Jones Memorial Highway for debris in the highway, to the 300 block of Blue Heron Lane for hunters on private property, to the 500 block of Longview Lane for hunters on private property, and to the 4000 block of Mary Ball Road for bank fraud.

December 27: Staff responded to the 100 block of River Bluff Road for an adult welfare check, to the Norris Bridge for a disabled vehicle, to the 200 block of Morattico Road for a suspicious vehicle, to the 18000 block of Mary Ball Road for a civil complaint, to the 200 block of Morattico Road for an assault, to the 1200 block of Goodluck Road for a breaking and entering, and to the 90 block of Rappahannock Landing for a noise complaint.

December 28: Staff responded to the 300 block of Twin Branch Road for gunshots in the late evening hours, to the 500 block of Cherry Point Drive for suspicious activity, to the 400 block of Twin Branch Road for threats, to the 500 block of Chesapeake Drive for a suspicious vehicle, to the 1700 block of Goodluck Road for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to the 800 block of Old Saint Johns Road for a verbal disagreement, and to the 200 block of Morattico Road for suspicious activity.

December 29: Staff responded to Campbell Road for gunshots in a residential area, to the 80 block of Washington Street for a traffic complaint, and to the 900 block of Rappahannock Drive for a civil complaint.

Staff also conducted 16 traffic stops, issued 13 summonses, assisted three motorists, recorded a deer strike accident, handled a request for traffic control, investigated four building alarms, processed a mental health order, logged an inmate transport, received four E911 hang up calls, and fielded four calls for animal control service.

Fire calls

Kilmarnock VFD and White Stone VFD responded to a fire alarm/structure fire at 599 North Main Street.

White Stone VFD also responded to a fire alarm at 846 Crab Point Road.
