Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against six individuals.
Felony
R. Burnett Landon Kenner, 69, of White Stone was charged December 17 for the violations of (18.2-51.6) strangulation or suffocation of another, and misdemeanor assault and battery of a family or household member.
Misdemeanors
A Lancaster man, 46, was charged December 17 with failure to appear in court for trial on December 13.
A Bruington man, 27, was charged December 19 with failure to enroll and successfully complete the Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program (VASAP).
A Lancaster woman, 45, was charged December 19 with non-compliance with VASAP.
A Heathsville man, 33, was charged December 20 with assault and battery of a family or household member.
A White Stone man, 32, was charged December 20 with appearing in public in an intoxicated condition.

December 16: Staff responded to Crawfords Corner and Mount Olive roads for a disabled vehicle, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for fraud, to Bush Mill Road to assist Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office with a vehicle pursuit of a wanted person.
December 17: Staff responded to the 100 block of Old Town Lane for a domestic assault, to the 18000 block of Mary Ball Road for a traffic complaint, to Senora Road for a traffic complaint, to Goodluck and Mary Ball roads for a three-vehicle traffic crash, to the 300 block of Johns Neck Road for a traffic complaint, to the 800 block of Townley Farm Road for fraud, to Pinckardsville Road for a reckless driver, and to the 60 block of East Church Street for a single-vehicle traffic crash.
December 18: Staff responded to First Street for a domestic disturbance, to Mary Ball Road and Whisk Drive for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to the 700 block of Christ Church Road for an adult welfare check, to the 500 block of Lara Road for a domestic assault, to the 300 block of White Hall Road for a suspicious person; and to the 200 block of Methodist Church Road for an adult welfare check.
December 19: Staff responded to Carlson Road and Jessie duPont Memorial Highway for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to the 5000 block of Windmill Point Road for legal advice, and to the 200 block of Oyster Creek Drive for trespassing.
December 20: Staff responded to the 500 block of Rappahannock Drive for a suspicious person, to the 400 block of Brightwaters Drive for suspicious activity, to the 70 block of Watercress Lane for suspicious activity; to Mary Ball and Pinckardsville roads for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to the 100 block of Chestnut Point Road for a verbal dispute, to the 300 block of Holgate Way for the report of a noise complaint, and to the 600 block of Rappahannock Drive for counterfeit currency.
December 21: Staff responded to the 400 block of Bullcreek Drive for a scam, and to the 400 block of River Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash.
December 22: Staff responded to the 4000 block of Mary Ball Road for an assault, to the 1700 block of Harris Road for an adult welfare check, and to the 13000 block of Mary Ball Road for a two-vehicle traffic crash.
Staff also conducted 23 traffic stops, issued 11 summonses, assisted four motorists, recorded two deer strike accidents, handled two requests for traffic control, investigated three building alarms, logged three inmate transports, received seven E911 hang up calls, and fielded four calls for animal control service.
Fire calls
Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department responded to vehicle crashes at Goodluck and Mary Ball Roads, Carlson Road and Jessie duPont Memorial Highway, and 13468 Mary Ball Road.
Upper Lancaster VFD responded to a vehicle crash at 442 River Road.
White Stone VFD responded to a vehicle crash at Mary Ball Road and Whisk Drive.
Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp on December 20 reported charges against six individuals.
Felonies
Daniel L. Marsh, 24, of Heathsville was charged December 14 with threatening to kill and/or do bodily injury to a person, which placed such person in reasonable apprehension of death or bodily harm.
Leah D’Asia Martin, 23, of Callao was charged December 14 with three felony counts of credit card larceny and one misdemeanor count of credit card fraud. She also was charged with petit larceny. These were Essex County charges, served by Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO).
Johnathan Andre Williams, 22 of Heathsville was charged December 17 with felony eluding after law enforcement signal was given to stop, and reckless driving. He also was charged with a capias/attachment of the body issued by Richmond County Sheriff’s Office for failing to appear on an original charge of reckless driving. Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office also held a warrant for shoplifting at Walmart.
Misdemeanors
A Heathsville man, 47, was charged December 13 with threatening an illegal or immoral act over the phone. This was a Westmoreland County warrant, served by NCSO.
A Reedville man, 47, was charged December 19 on a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Northumberland County General District Court for failing to appear on original charges of operating without a contractor’s license. He also was charged with a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Henrico County General District Court for failing to appear on original charges of capias for failing to appear on driving under the influence of drugs.
A Callao man, 82, was charged December 19 with two summonses: changing lanes when not appropriate, and no proof of insurance after an accident. These were Richmond County summonses served by NCSO.
