The Lancaster Virginia Historical Society (LVHS) recently announced tickets for the ninth annual “Shuckin’ on the Lancaster Green” oyster roast on November 9 are already halfway sold out and the ticket price, which includes all food and drinks, will increase from $65 to $70 on Friday, October 18.
According to executive director Karen Hart, attendance is limited to 150 people and a full sell-out is expected.
“The LVHS oyster roast features a delicious and plentiful menu of steamed and raw oysters, our signature Lancaster chicken stew and ham and bean soup, hot dogs loaded with chili and slaw, and beer, wine and soda,” said Hart.
