Slave era research is March 8 topic for genealogy group

The Middle Peninsula African-American Genealogical and Historical Society will meet virtually at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8. Dr. Shelley Murphy will present “Unearthing Hidden Stories: Slave Era Genealogical Research.”

Dr. Murphy’s presentation will explore the complexities of tracing African American ancestry through the era of slavery, reported Bessida White.
