LANCASTER—Thelma R. Hayden, 92, of Lancaster went to be with heaven’s angels on Saturday, July 21, 2018.
Thelma was a homemaker and a farmer’s wife and in her later years was a CNA at The Lancashire in Kilmarnock. Thelma loved her church, Corrottoman Baptist, where she served as a custodian for over 25 years.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward M. Hayden; grandsons, Matthew and Peyton Stevens and a son-in-law, Jeffrey Allison; her parents, Julian and Corrie Reynolds; brother, Ford Reynolds; and sisters, Lila Jenkins, Deane Sawdy, Otelia Williams, Adelle Vass and Shirley Lewis.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Deborah Dawson (John), Patricia Davenport, Darlene Allison, Melody Revere (Cy) and Jamie Barrack (Billy); her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and their families; a brother, Warner Reynolds; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 26, at Corrottoman Baptist Church, Ottoman. Family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Corrottoman Baptist Church Cemetery.
