Lancaster High School had three athletes meet state qualifying standards for track and field during a recent 50-team meet in Midlothian and the LHS girls team won a four-school meet at Northumberland on April 10.
Finley Major ran a state qualifying time of 5:53.31 in the 1600 meter run at the Kellie Wells Classic on April 12.
Xavier Sutton cleared 5’10” to place sixth and qualify in the high jump and Zaden Veney ran the 300 hurdles in 43.59 for 14th place and a state qualifying time.
Also in the girls meet, Elisa Veal placed eighth in the shot with a 31’ put.
