EMS event
The Mid-County Volunteer Rescue Squad, 7990 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville, will host an EMS Community Yard & Bake Sale from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, September 13. The event also will offer music, lunch items from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and family fun.
A “Truck Touch” experience will offer a chance to explore emergency medical service, fire and law enforcement vehicles.
Genealogy
The Middle Peninsula African-American Genealogical and Historical Society will meet virtually at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 13. Dennis Richmond will preset “Almost to the Revolution: Rediscovering the Felmetta Family.”

Music festival
The Northern Neck Beach Music Festival will be held from 11:30 a.m.-5 p.m. September 13 and 14 at Town Hill Park in Colonial Beach. The lineup brings a mix of “Jimmy Buffet,” Motown, Carolina beach music and rhythm and blues.

Power of Pink
Bon Secours RGH will host Power of Pink, breast cancer awareness event, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. October 21 at White Stone Church of the Nazarene, 57 Whisk Drive, White Stone.
The free event will offer education, support, fellowship, food, door prizes, raffles and a special ceremony honoring breast cancer survivors. Registration is encouraged, call 435-8090 or 435-8325.
Chorale season
Chesapeake Chorale rehearsals for 2025 Christmas concerts will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Mondays through November at Grace Episcopal Church, 303 South Main Street, Kilmarnock. No audition is required to join this mixed-voice community group.
NNO tickets
Tickets are on sale for the Northern Neck Orchestra’s 2025-26 season. Five concerts are scheduled at the Lancaster Elementary School Theater, 191 School Street, Kilmarnock.
