GLOUCESTER—The Gloucester Daffodil Show was held April 6 and 7 at Newington Baptist Church. The show, sponsored by Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism, is sanctioned by the American Daffodil Society.
The show included 84 exhibitors,1,224 entries and 2,098 stems in horticulture plus 20 photographers with 100 photo entries. Exhibitors, judges and daffodil enthusiasts from all over the East Coast attended plus Ian Tyler, a classification judge from England, reported public relations chairman Anne Earman.
The 2024 Gloucester Daffodil Festival and Show theme was “Everything’s Coming Up Daffodils” and the artistic and photography divisions entries were inspired by classic Broadway shows, said Earman.
