2025 is election year for two seats on school boards and supervisors

LANCASTER—This is an election year for several seats in local government.

Voter registrars for Lancaster and Northumberland counties confirmed the deadline to file for local office is 7 p.m. on June 17. The general election will be held November 4.

In Lancaster, seats representing Districts 1 and 5 on the board of supervisors and school board will be up for election, according to voter registrar Susan Jett.

In District 1, the current supervisor is Craig Giese and the school board member is Faith Kemp. In District 5, the current supervisor is William Smith and the school board member is Margaret Socey.

There will be special elections for a seat on the town councils in Irvington and Kilmarnock…..
