Casual neighborhood dining meets fresh and flavorful cuisine in the heart of Kilmarnock’s downtown at 36 North Restaurant.
Patrick Walker opened his doors at 36 North back in September and has been busy whipping up timeless sandwiches, fresh seafood entrees and hearty breakfasts ever since.
Walker moved to the Northern Neck about 12 years ago after growing up in Rhode Island and later relocating to Baltimore, Md. He has always had a passion for cooking and curating his own recipes. Working in the restaurant industry since he was 12, he has held nearly every position within a restaurant. From back-of-the-house roles, to serving in the front of the house, including administrative and managerial positions, he always knew his talent and interest was in cooking.
Restaurant manager Angel Clark said she, too, has held nearly every role in the restaurant industry and has enjoyed learning the ins-and-outs of the business.
Walker and Clark met a few years ago while both were working in dining services at Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club. When Walker decided it was time to fulfill his dream and open his own restaurant, the duo reconnected and hit the ground running to….
