Over $400,000 in scholarships are available to students who will be enrolled at Rappahannock Community College in the next academic year (2018-19).
The deadline to apply for the scholarships is Friday, February 16. Scholarships are available to full-time and part-time students, said RCC Educational Foundation executive director Sarah Pope.
Applicants complete one scholarship application form, which puts them in the running for over 100 awards, she said.
The average scholarship is $1,500, which is significant considering that the full-time tuition at RCC per year is $4,500.
“Our goal is to assist as many people in our service region as possible to make higher education at RCC affordable,” said Pope.
