NEWPORT NEWS—Carolyn Whittaker Clegg, 80, of Newport News passed away January 6, 2021.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Clegg; daughter, Candice MacDonald (John); four grandsons, Connor MacDonald (Miharu), Christian MacDonald, Chase MacDonald and Collin MacDonald; aunt, Mary Ann Dameron; sisters-in-law, brother-in-law and their families and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Otelia Whittaker; daughter, Cristi Clegg; grandson, Cameron MacDonald; and brother, Earl Whittaker.
She was a school teacher for Newport News Public Schools for over 32 years.
Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 8, at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Interment followed the service at White Marsh Cemetery. Family received friends from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
