The Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club Men’s Member Tournament August 7-9 featured two and a half days of golf with some exceptionally challenging conditions following Tropical Storm Isaias and the tornados that narrowly missed the club.
The storm did, however, leave the grounds saturated and littered with limbs and downed trees that required days of cleanup, reported head golf professional Mike Mayer. The full field of 64 players enjoyed tasty meals, great weather and exceptional competition. Special thanks to tournament co-chairmen Jim Purcell and Bob Gillispie.
