MORATTICO—Robert Francis McArdle Jr., 62, of Morattico passed away April 26, 2026.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Francis McArdle Sr. and Barbara Gilmore McArdle.
He is survived by his husband, Gary Wayne Bradley; son, Robert Francis McArdle III; sister, Meg McArdle-Kowar; brother, Joseph Brian McArdle (Dorothy); and niece, Barbara Johnson.
Rob was a 1982 graduate of Benedictine High School and a 1986 graduate of Hampden Sydney College. Rob was a lifelong resident of Richmond, until he and Gary moved to Morattico post-COVID and started living the best life.
Rob organized the First Fridays at the Morattico Waterfront Museum to help improve community life. Rob and Gary were also members of Trinity Episcopal Church, where Rob’s personal ministry was the Little Pink Pantry where he helped to combat hunger in the community.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, May 15, at Currie Funeral Home, 116 East Church Street, Kilmarnock. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 16, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 8484 Mary Ball Road, Lancaster. A reception will follow.
