At mid season, Mad Cow pulls away from the fleet

On Wednesday, April 29, the Rappahannock River Yacht Club Typhoon Fleet held its third of six scheduled race nights.

It was a challenging evening of sailing due to wind and sea conditions, reported race commander Kevin Stepko. The winds blowing 13-17 knots with even greater gusts, churned up the Rappahannock into one- to two-foot seas. By the end of the evening, all crews were left soaked and exhausted.
