Lady Devils blast hits to the top in softball standings

The Lancaster Lady Devils took a firm hold on first place in Northern Neck District and Region 1A softball last week after picking up two wins over Westmoreland to improve to 14-2.

Addie George had an in-the-park grand slam and Kelsie Cox had a two-run in-the-park homer as Lancaster beat the Eagles, 9-3, at Dream Fields on Thursday, April 30.

Lancaster broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the second with George’s base-clearing shot down….
