Lady Devils complete regular season on top

The Lady Devils split Northern Neck District varsity softball games against Rappahannock last week in almost mirror images. Lancaster claimed a 9-1 win over the Raiders in Warsaw on Tuesday, May 5, then RHS beat LHS at Dream Fields, 10-1, on Thursday, May 7.

The loss essentially ended regular season play for Lancaster. Essex forfeited this week’s game to LHS to end the Devils regular season at 17-3 in first place in both the district and Region 1A standings.

Lancaster will host a district tournament semifinal at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 19. The opponent was not set at press time.
