Red Devils soccer team concludes most successful regular season in 10 years; tournament action begins

Coach Rob Pittman and the Red Devils wrapped up the best regular season for Lancaster High School varsity soccer in more than a decade.

Tallying an 8-5 overall record, the Devils have locked in first round home berths for both the Northern Neck and Region 1A tournaments for the first time in 10 years as the runner-up in the district and a third-place seed in the region.

Although Lancaster and Rappahannock ended their season with the same 5.38 points rating, the two teams split matches during the regular season head-to-head. The seeding then goes to the lot draw and Rappahannock earned the second seed based on….
