With a 17-3 record, the Lancaster High School softball team ended the regular season first in both the Northern Neck District and Region 1A regular season standings.
The Lady Devils beat Westmoreland, 6-2, Tuesday, May 19 in a district semifinal and were scheduled to host Rappahannock in the tournament championship Wednesday, May 20. The Raiders defeated Northumberland, 9-3, in the other semifinal.
Lancaster also earned a home berth in the Region 1A tournament quarterfinal as the high seed and will host either Chincoteague or Northampton on Thursday, May 28….
