LHS boys tennis season concludes

Lancaster ended its boys team tennis season losing in Region 2A quarterfinal loss to Poquoson, 5-0, two weeks ago.

However, doubles team Isaac Hernandez and Logan Brent advanced to the regional final on Friday, May 29.

Lancaster had two players in the Region 2A boys doubles tennis tournament final last week. From left are Isaac Hernandez, assistant coach Scott Heismon and Logan Brent.

In individual regional competition, Hernandez and Brent both qualified for singles and doubles play.

Brent won his opening singles match over Kristopher Litton of Poquoson before advancing to the semifinals, where he fell to Bruton’s top player, Christoph Schweitzer. Schweitzer went on to win the regional championship.

Hernandez was eliminated in the opening round by Bryson Jones of Bruton.

However, the duo won their first-round doubles….
