Arts in Middle festival time
Over 100 artists from around the East Coast will participate in the 12th annual Arts in the Middle festival at Hewick Plantation, 5123 Old Virginia Street, Urbanna. Festival hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, June 6, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, June 7. “We have a fantastic array of artists displaying their work at the festival,” said president Michael Kunzinger. “Attendees will be able to view and purchase for themselves one-of-a-kind watercolors, acrylics, necklaces, iron works, stained glass, wood works and other treasures.” The show will be judged by Christopher B. Wagner, an instructor at the College of William and Mary. The festival also will offer a local artist tent, student artwork, children’s creative area, music on two stages, museum exhibits and refreshments. Admission and parking are free.
