WICOMICO CHURCH—Richard Fred “Dick” Hall Jr. of Wicomico Church died peacefully at home on June 3, 2026, after a brief illness.
Dick was the son of Richard Fredrick Hall and Lucy Anne Stoneman Hall of Wicomico Church, formerly of Varina.
Born February 6, 1942, in Onancock on the Eastern Shore, where his father was county agent, he lived in Varina until the age of four when the family moved to his beloved Cranes Creek, Remo, where he enjoyed growing fruit trees, gardening, boating and listening to the dogs run during hunting season.
After his service in the United States Army, he was employed by Virginia Power Co. until his retirement.
He was predeceased by his parents; and his son, Richard Wade Hall.
He is survived by his granddaughter, Rylee Anne Hall and her mother, Laurienne Jackson; and his sisters, Anne Hall Haynie and Mary Frances Hall Hughes (David). He is survived by a number of nieces and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He is survived by special friends, Betty Kennedy and Elise Lawless-Knight; and by Paul Riviello, a dear friend to both Dick and his son, Wade.
