Historic Christ Church & Museum hosts VA250 History Day and more
Historic Christ Church & Museum welcomed visitors to VA250 History Day on Saturday, June 27. “We were thrilled to see so many families and guests of all ages here. It was a great day to celebrate our country and the freedoms we cherish as we get ready for the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and the American founding,” said executive director Robert Teagle. The celebration of America’s 250th anniversary will continue throughout the summer at Historic Christ Church & Museum, 420 Christ Church Road, Weems.
“We invite the public to join us on July 2 at 4 p.m. for our annual public reading of the Declaration of Independence. And our VA250 programs continue with a VA250 Trivia Night on July 16, and the Virginia Museum of History & Culture’s traveling exhibition ‘Give Me Liberty: Virginia & The Forging of a Nation’ is on display here until August 3,” said executive director Robert Teagle.
