Belle Isle State Park to offer weekend activities

Belle Isle State Park recently announced its upcoming activity calendar.

All activities will be held at Belle Isle State Park, 1632 Belle Isle Road, Lancaster. A $5 parking fee is payable at the park entrance.

On Friday, July 24, Backyard Bass will be offered at 4 p.m. Drop a line at the Campground Overflow Parking Lot and practice casting with the Backyard Bass game.

Saturday, July 25, activities will include:

• 10 a.m., The Pollinators—Butterflies and More, Visitor Center. Join a ranger to learn about pollinators and make a craft.

• 1 p.m., Corn Husk Friends, Camp Store. Join a ranger to play some of the games children in colonial times played and make a corn husk friend to take home.

• 3 p.m., Ramblin’ with a Ranger, Canoe/Kayak Parking Lot. Take a hike on the Mulberry Creek Boardwalk Trail. A ranger will point out….
