Band From Misfit Beach performs at Camp Kekoka, stage dedicated in memory of  M.J. Anderson-Leicht

The sounds of Misfit Beach had friends and donors dancing and celebrating at the Northern Neck Family YMCA and Camp Kekoka Friends and Donors Appreciation Picnic, recently held at Camp Kekoka in Kilmarnock.

The band, known for its “Party for a Purpose” concerts, donated its musical talents and proceeds, reported board member Margie Redlin. Through the generosity of Misfit Beach and its supporters more than $2,000 was raised to benefit Camp Kekoka and the Northern Neck Family YMCA.

A highlight of the afternoon was the dedication and naming of the camp’s covered stage in memory of M.J. Anderson-Leichty, the Northern Neck Family YMCA’s first center director. The stage was a vision of hers for….
