Deadrise Disc Golf in Kilmarnock will close on August 31.
The disc golf course, situated on a portion of the former King Carter Golf Course at Hills Quarter, opened four years ago on property loaned to the club by Jimmie Carter. More residential properties are planned on parts of the course which prompted its closure.

The course was designed, cut from the landscape and maintained by a group of volunteer disc golf enthusiasts including John and Marsha Jedlinski, Davy Nichols, Rob Pittman, Justin Burke, Becky Jones and Nick Cockrell.
