Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against five individuals.
Felonies
David Clarence Taylor, 68, of White Stone was charged August 4 with abduction, and assault and battery of a family or household member (misdemeanor).
Richard Walters, 56, of Lancaster was charged August 5 with revocation of suspension of sentence and probation on the underlying charges of driving while license is revoked, and giving false identity to law enforcement officer.
Blake Re’shad Taylor-Rice, 28, of White Stone was charged August 6 with strangulation, and assault and battery of a family or household member (misdemeanor).
Misdemeanors
A Colonial Heights man, 32, was charged August 5 with failure to comply with Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program on the underlying charge of driving while intoxicated, second offense.
A Heathsville man, 19, was charged August 6 with sexual battery.

August 3: Staff responded to the 300 block of Mosquito Point Road for a domestic disturbance, to the 10000 block of Courthouse Road for a larceny, and to Regina and Sweet Gum roads for a downed tree.
August 4: Staff responded to the 1300 block of Old Salem Road for a domestic assault, to the 400 block of Twin Branch Road for a domestic disturbance, to Mary Ball Road and Chesapeake Drive for a disabled vehicle, to the 60 block of Coppedge Farm Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for debris in the highway, and to Briarwood Lane for a suspicious vehicle.
August 5: Staff responded to the 300 block of Colinbrook Way for a downed tree.
August 6: Staff responded to the 2000 block of Little Bay Road for a domestic disturbance, and to the 30 block of South Main Street for a fight in progress.
August 7: Staff responded to the 300 block of Avonne Street for a domestic disturbance, to the 100 block of Methodist Church Road for suspicious activity, and to the 100 block of Heron Cove for identity theft.
August 8: Staff responded to the 20 block of King Carter Drive for suspicious activity, to the 700 block of James Wharf Road for destruction of property, to the 300 block of Creekwater Drive for a domestic disturbance, and to the 100 block of Merry Point Road for a suspicious vehicle.
August 9: Staff responded to the 3000 block of White Chapel Road for a disabled vehicle, to Mary Ball and Devils Bottom roads for shooting into an occupied vehicle, and to the 200 block of Rocky Neck Road for a domestic disturbance.
Staff also conducted 16 traffic stops, issued 11 summonses, assisted two motorists, recorded two deer strike accidents, handled a request for traffic control, investigated seven building alarms, processed two mental health orders, logged five inmate transports, received six E911 hang up calls, and fielded three calls for animal control.
Fire calls
Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department responded to a utility line fire on Hunton Lane.
Kilmarnock VFD responded to a traffic crash on Coppedge Farm Road and to a dock fire on Rio Vista.
White Stone VFD responded to a propane leak on Windmill Point Road.
