Tickets are on sale for the 2026-27 Northern Neck Orchestra five-concert season at the Lancaster High School Auditorium and Performing Arts Center, 100 Visionary Way, Irvington.
Season tickets are $160. Single tickets are $40. Students will be admitted free with an online reservation. Tickets may be purchased at www.northernneckorchestra.org.
On Stage
Tickets are on sale for the Rappahannock Foundation for the Arts 2026-27 On Stage season at the Lancaster High School Auditorium and Performing Arts Center, 100 Visionary Way, Irvington. Shows will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Drinking Habits
The Westmoreland Players will present “Drinking Habits” at The Westmoreland Players Theatre, 16217 Richmond Road, Callao. Performances are slated at 7:30 p.m. August 28 and 3 p.m. August 29 and 30.

Movietime
Upcoming Movies on the Half Shell Stage at Town Centre Park, 150 North Main Street, Kilmarnock, will include Back to the Future on September 3 and Coco on September 17.
The free movies will begin at sunset.
Music festival
The eighth annual Northern Neck Beach Music Festival will be held from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. September 12 and 13 on Town Hill in Colonial Beach. Participants can expect dancing, food, beverages and raffles. Saturday music will include Feature Attraction Band (FAB) and The Chris Sacks Band. Sunday music will include River Rock and Band of Oz.
Through September 1, a two-day ticket is $50 per person; one-day ticket, $25 for Saturday, $35 for Sunday; younger than 12, $15 each. Purchase tickets at www.cbcommunityfoundation.org/beach-music-festival. Ticket prices will go up after September 1.
Wine & Whiskers
Garfields Rescue Inc. will host Wine & Whiskers from 5-7:30 p.m. Thursday, September 3 at Trinity Episcopal Church Pavilion, 8484 Mary Ball Road, Lancaster. The event will offer wine, hors d’oeuvres, music, 50/50 raffle, slideshow and silent auction.
Tickets are $60. Tickets may be purchased at www.garfieldsrescuecharity.com, Bayside Animal Hospital, RAL Art Center and Reedville Fishermen’s Museum.
Chicken dinners
Chicken dinners will be available from 4:30-6 p.m. on first Mondays at American Legion Post #117, 39 School Street, Reedville.
Meals include fried chicken, mashed potatoes, choice of vegetables, salad, roll, dessert and drink. Dinners are $14 for adults and $7 for children ages 12 and younger, at the door.
SAR lunchoen
The Richard Henry Lee Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution will meet at 11:30 a.m. September 8 at the Bayne Conference Center, Historic Christ Church & Museum, 420 Christ Church Road, Weems. Lunch will be served at noon.

Crab feast
The Morattico Waterfront Museum, 6584 Morattico Road, Morattico, will hold its annual crab feast from 3-5 p.m. September 12. The menu will include steamed crabs, hot dogs, sides and desserts. Bring a crab knife, but leave pets coolers and take-home containers at home.

The Rappahannock Art League Photo Group seeks new members of all levels who wish to improve their skills. The Photo Group meets at 10 a.m. on third Mondays at the Lancaster Community Library, 16 Town Centre Drive, Kilmarnock.

Chorale rehearsals
The Chesapeake Chorale will begin rehearsals for its 29th holiday concert season at 7 p.m. September 14, at Grace Episcopal Church, 303 South Main Street, Kilmarnock, and will continue each Monday through November.
Auditions are not required. Concerts will be held December 5 at Lancaster Elementary School and December 6 at St. Clare Walker Middle School. The Chorale also will present music for Holly and the Ivy at December 7 at Historic Christ Church & Museum.
Rise & Fall
The Essex County Museum and Historical Society, 218 South Water Lane, Tappahannock, will host the Rise & Fall Festival September 25 through 27. The heritage celebration will offer free activities for all ages Saturday and Sunday.
The Ship’s Company Chanteymen will perform from 5-6:30 p.m. Friday. Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $20. Dom Flemons will perform traditional roots music from 7-8:30 p.m. Saturday. Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $40. Daffodil forum
The Gloucester Daffodil Club will host the American Daffodil Society Middle Atlantic Region Fall Forum from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. October 24 at the Fine Arts museum of Gloucester, 6894 Main Street, Gloucester. In addition to speakers on a variety of daffodil topics, the event will include receptions, garden tours, a boutique and tastings from Daffodils and Delicacies, Divine Dining.
