The Lancaster Players seeks an ensemble cast of 3-5 men and 2-3 women to portray the 40 characters in “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play,” the full-length version of Joe Landry’s live-broadcast adaptation of Frank Capra’s timeless film.

Open auditions will be held from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, September 15 and 16, at The Lancaster Playhouse, 36l Rappahannock Drive, White Stone. Those unable to attend auditions may call 435-3776. Related are available at lancasterplayers.org.

Directors Doug Dillard and Karen Stanley urge newcomers and seasoned performers to audition. In addition to onstage actors, foley artists (sound technicians) will create live sound effects, bringing the 1940s radio studio atmosphere to the production, said Stanley.
