LANCASTER—The Windmill Point Marina boat ramp has reopened.
On August 31, the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) reported concerns regarding the potential for release of sewage from the facility lagoons at the Windmill Point Marina, located at 40 Windjammer Lane in Lancaster County.
The boat ramp was closed, reported Eastern region public information officer Larry Hill.
By September 12, those concerns had diminished and since there were no current identified water quality hazards, the ramp closure signs were removed.
