The Lancaster Virginia Historical Society (LVHS) recently announced that tickets for the 11th annual Shuckin’ on the Lancaster Green oyster roast fundraiser November 14 are still available.
The ticket price, which includes all food and drinks, will increase from $65 to $75 on October 26. Executive director Karen Hart urges people to get their tickets soon because this event traditionally sells out and tickets will not be available at the door.
The LVHS Fall 50/50 raffle also is underway for a chance to win a cash prize of up to $1,000. Raffle tickets are $5 each or $20 for five tickets. Proceeds from the oyster roast and raffle support the Lancaster Virginia Historical Society’s Museum, Dunton Library and public programs to preserve, understand and share local history and family genealogies.
“The LVHS oyster roast welcomes locals and out-of-towners visitors alike for a great afternoon of food, music and community gathering in a casual, backyard setting,” said Hart. “Attendance is limited to 150 guests to maintain the friendly, neighborhood party vibe…….
