Northumberland field hockey beats Highland Springs, 6-0

Forward Breanna Davis opened the scoring for Northumberland just eight minutes into the game last Friday and the Lady Indians controlled play from then on for a 6-0 win over Highland Springs in varsity field hockey.

The goal was Davis’ seventh of the season.

Northumberland’s Hannah Loving scored twice in the first half to lift the hosts to a 3-0 lead. Natalie Webb had the assist on Loving’s goal. Loving sent a free hit about 60 yards to Loving for the shot.

Lauren Suchan scored early in the second half with a reverse stick (tomahawk shot).
